Fill in the Blank Friday!

If you dont know what this is its call "fill in the blank Friday" I follow this girl Lauren who puts the questions together every Friday and you are suppose to link up your response  to her page. I don't it very often but here it goes!

1.   The last thing I ate was  Chick-fil-a  biscuit yesterday morning when I got home from work.....yeah I know my tummy s telling me the same thing you are thinking

2.  The next thing I'd like to eat is  our wedding cake!!

3.  The best things     come from the Lord.....He gives us everything we have.

4.  Something that makes me supremely and utterly happy is   going on vacation!! Specifically right now I would really like to go to the beach because everyone on facebook keeps posting about the beach and it is making me extremely jealous....we will be going before the end of july!!

5.  Sports are     Eric's fist love.....he will almost watch anything that comes on ESPN, listens to ESPN, talks about ESPN...I will have to say I did enjoy watching the NBA finals with him though. Bets thats something you didnt know....thats right... I like basketball. Dont let my hight fool you though. I played two three years on a church league and 1 year in high school, found out I wasn't that great or aggressive enough, quit, and joined performing arts!! haha! I was a WHOLE lot better at that!

6.  I miss       CABLE TV!!! If you didn't read my last post we have ben without it for a week now and they are coming today!!

7.  Right now I am       need to get up, take a shower, drink some coffee, eat and unpack some boxes!!

YAY!!!!

So I am totally thinking of have a piece of our wedding cake for breakfast this morning. Yeah, you know the whole "eat the top layer of your wedding cake for your first anniversary" thing......yeah well screw tradition cause we completely forgot. Eric reminded me a few days later, so I just decided to wait till we got into the new house to thaw it out. Props to Fran Papenfuss for makeing cakes that can taste just as good a year and two weeks later as it did on our wedding day. If you are getting married in the near future you must check her out! She makes the BEST wedding cakes (or any cake for that matter) in Columbus hands down!! Plus she's really nice! Check her out! The Cake Lady

I am sooooo very excited today because we are getting.....CABLE!!!!!! I mean I lived without cable for many years living at home. I was the only person in my house who didn't have it in their room. I had the four basic channels....and most of the time that was enough for me. But out here you get swat!! Needless to say its very boring if your here by yourself. I can only watch Dawson's Creek on dvd so many times before even it starts getting boring. I feel like we are living in the 1930's or something when we have to turn in the radio to know whats going on in the world. Crazy! Even more crazy how dependent we are now on the TV to keep us entertained. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so dependent on it. But sadly we are all dependent on our technology. We can't imagine our world without internet, or a smart phone, even a HD TV. We cant leave the house with out our cell phone, we freak out if we don't have service, we don't know what to do with our selves if we don't have something to watch on tv....its really kind of sad. I was taking to someone the other day at work....I was holding a fussy baby..... and basically say how funny it was that this child will never know a world without our technology. He would probably have a cell phone at 9, and ipod at 10, and at 16 he will probably be a fuel efficient electric car....beacuse that is all we will have.....maybe it will fly.....ok that was a joke, but who knows.
Anyways....I feel like it Christmas morning or something. As annoying as it is though it is kinda liberating to change up something you are used to doing. I don't know how much longer I could have went, but we survived. Now not having internet.....that would be a whole other story!!! Have a great Friday!

New House!!- New Chapter!!

So we have officially moved into our new house! Eric, being the fast pace moving person he is, rounded up some people and went ahead and painted the kitchen and bed room. I had to work. Want to say thank you to Our mom's, Ian Allan, and the Maranos for coming and helping paint since I had to work. I am glad we didn't have to do it all alone. We are for the most part in working order. There are a few more boxes that still need to be unpacked and a few things at the apartment. I think what is going to stink the most is cleaning the whole house and cleaning the whole apartment...while working.
Eric couldn't resist. He already started hanging things on the wall. I promise I will post some pictures soon.

Today is Fathers day! I would like to say Happy Fathers Day to my father. He will probably never read this, but thats ok. I also want to say happy fathers day to my father figures. Being that I lived most of my childhood and all of my adult life away from my father he wasnt always there to show me much or do anything. It used to make me so angry when, there was something wrong with my car,  and people would say "go home and tell your father too..." I would have to respond with "he can't. " Or the father daughter dances we had very year in girl scouts. But I was one of the lucky ones without a father. I had wonderful godly men around me from a young age who taught me what it means to be a husband and father. So when I was looking for a partner, I instinctively knew what to look for.  When I had a flat tire, or my car broke down, or when my mother was petrified to put me in a car at 15, or anything that you needed a dad for. Even though I wasn't able to have my real on around I had the best examples possible. I thank them for treating me as one of their own. I think they know who hey are. =) Now I should probably go call my father.....Happy Fathers Day!'

DAY 366!!! YAY!!!

So..........it has FINALLY been a year (hence the blog post numbered by days)  since Eric and I have have wedded. And I say finally like I have been waiting for it or something. Truth being it totally snuck up in me. Just incase you don't already know Eric and I dated for 5 and a half years before we got married and engaged for almost 3, which was way longer then almost all of our friends. Now those years seem like they came and went. I guess cause I was so busy with school and everything.  I started hard core planning about 2 years before, while working and going to nursing school. It was crazy. But coming from a divorced home I was determined that I was not going to just jump into a marriage to have a wedding. I wish more people took the details and time they take to prepare for a wedding and spend that time on preparing for the actual marriage. In saying that, one thing I wish Eric and I would have done was pre-marital counseling. I think it would have prevented some arguments.
So much has changed. I mean people told me it would be hard, and the whole "you never really know someone till you live with them".....which is true. I know I have said it before, marriage is work. I it really is. Its not glamorous and butterflies and kisses all the time. I mean it is sometimes. But day to day life....its just not. I can say living with Eric, there is never a dull moment. One of the things I love about him is that no matter how mad I am, he always finds a way to make me laugh. He always helps me see the other side of situations. He overall makes me a better person, even if he drives me nuts sometimes.

So incase you havent seen my post on facebook, we are buying a house!! YAY! I have to hand it to Eric. He has done just about everything to get us into a house. Going to the bank (several times), talking to the relater, researching houses, making appointments, and what ever else had to be done. He has done it all! I cant handle it. Its too stressful for me. I just said yes, or no. So we are suppose to close on Thursday, and we are ready!!! Pictures and updates to come!
