random thoughts....I know....

I decided to go through our clothes yesterday....putting up all of the winter clothes, some of which I never even got to wear because it never got cold. I was kinda sad about that. 

That was not even what was on the floor, or the rest I pulled our of the closet. I went though and got a pile started of stuff I am giving away. I cant believe I still have clothes from high school. It kinda makes me sad that I have this many clothes that I cant even possibly wear all of them in one season, yet so many have much less. 

People have told me that they cant believe I went and saw the Hunger Games. Why would I want to watch kids kill kids....all I have to say is if you would have read the books you would understand its not like that

 It is based in the time after the United States has been destroyed and is now called Panam. They are divided into 13 districts, all have special industries that they are know for and have to supply the capitol with. They are poor and starving, while the capitol is thriving and rich.  The 13 district rebels and tries to over throw the capitol and the capitol in turn destroys the district so now there is only 12. As a result of the rebellion the capitol invented The Hunger Games where 2 kids from each district are given up to the capitol and made to fight to the death till 1 survives. Not to mention it is on live tv. Its kinda like their version of the olympics to the death. It is sick. But if you keep reading you will realize they know its ridiculous too and try to stop this. Its kinda like us trying to fight to keep the government from controlling us....thats what they are trying to do as well. And in Katniss' defense.....she didn't kill anyone that wasn't trying to kill her. Just saying. Not to mention the love triangle. And I have to throw in that I still Love my Harry Potter. I will get off my soap box now. 

I cooked everyday last week....go me!!!

Being an adult is not fun sometimes. I miss being 15, when I thought my life was stress full, but really was so simple.

I know I posted this on my facebook. But I was watching 16 and pregnant....this girl said she wanted to be a nurse so she could have a fancy car and a big, fancy house. Like I said, has she talked to a real nurse?? We are not rich, and most of us live in normal houses and drive normal cars, and are not rich by any means. I guess I should realize it was coming from a 16 year old mom. I hope she can do it though. 

I need a pair of running shoes since Know chewed up my other pair. 

I have a friend going on a mission trip to Hati and a leader from TA's that is moving them and their three children to Africa. What faith they have. I wish I could go and do something like that. To hear the calling and move to a different country to spread the word is amazing to me. What faith and guts and faith! SO excited for them. 

The next six weeks I am working nothing but 3 in a row shifts...I have no idea what I was thinking!

I am also working April 13....Friday the 13....Oh Lord!

Fill in the Blank Friday- even though its not Friday

I know today is not Friday....but who cares! 

And today's theme is....COLOR!  
Hope you'll play along!

1.  My favorite color is    orange  .

2.   My home decor color palette includes   a lot of red, orange, greens, yellows    .

3.  Other people always tell me I look good in the color     I dont get complemented on color, mainly just on the clothes themselves   .

4. The color I detest is    purple...I really have anything in that color

5. If you were to look in my closet most of the colors you'd see would be   neutrals, black, brown and some color. I like things that I can wear with different shoes 

6. A color that I simply cannot pull off no matter how hard I try is   most yellows and golds. they wash my currently pale skin out. 

7.  The color of my favorite dress is   black, with a floral bottom. I bought it about 2 years ago for my bridal shower. it is so comfortable.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.  My favorite room in my home is     the bedroom    because     I love sleep. I also like our kitchen as well though. It comes in a close second  .

2.   My current decor style is   rustic modern  .  but I wish it were less cluttered.

3.  I wish I could redecorate the    Living room    room in my house to make it more    cohesive. I feel like we just kinda threw some stuff in there to fill it up

4. My dream house absolutely has to have a   wrap around porch. Mine doesn't at this time but I do have a screened in porch. Also has to have a decent size master bath. I do have one of these. I love our bathroom. 

5. One house item I am willing to splurge on is    Stuff for the yard. I know it sounds stupid but I like a nice looking yard. Right now I want to get a garden started and plant a tree in the front yard. We shall see. 

6. A decor trend that I just don't "get" is   All of the what I like to call "wordy" signs. You know the ones with all the sayings on them. "Live Laugh Love". We do have quite a few of these in our house because of my husband decided to decorate (which I have now forgiven and gotten over. I still love him and for the most part he did a good job.). And some of them I dont mind. I just dont want them all over the place. Eventually I will phase them out I hope. 

7.   Throw pillows, candles and blankets   is a little touch that makes my house feel like home.

So excited for....

So excited for the events coming up in the next couple of months, starting next week!

• Going to the Hunger Games premiere next week with a friend.
• I am doing my first Mud Mania in Auburn in 2 and a half weeks. I am skeeeeerd!! Click HERE! to see what we will be going through. I have never ran this far before, not to mention through mud.  And pray i don't, break/sprain any thing doing it.
• I turn 24 a few days after!! Whohoo! Mom has always told me that eventually my birthday will be just another day...I feel that feeling fast approaching. 
• Going to see Alan Jackson in concert with my Mom. I grew up listening Alan Jackson so I am really excited about that. 
• Going on another cruise to the Bahamas. Hopefully it will erase my memories of the last one we went on. Eric will not be going on this one with me. I am going with my mom and sister....all 3 of us...in one room. Should be interesting. 

I am excited. Haven't had this much to look forward too in a while. No offense  to anyone by any means, but all of this reminds me of why I am waiting to have children. Couldn't do all of this if I was with child, if you know what I mean.
Friday starts my Monday. Which stinks because it is suppose to be really nice this weekend while I will be sleeping it away. But while all of you are complaining about having a case of the Mondays, I will be in my bed, so don't feel bad for me. ;) Have a great humpday!

1.  The highlight of my week was   booking a cruise with my mom and sister. Very excited for a vacation

2.   If I had to classify my interior design aesthetic it would be   I guess modern and rustic. Honestly I wish I could just make my house look like a pottery barn magazine 

3.  My first vehicle was   a 1993 chevy corsica...it wasn't the best but I was proud of it. 

4. An item I need to have in my day in order to function is  my bed. Must have my sleep to function. 

5. My favorite way to waste time is  indulging in some Bravo tv. 

6. Right now I could really go for   a cupcake

7.  This weekend I will be   working, and going to the Lady Antebellum concert! So excited!!!
