If you don't want to hear me rant....you probably don't need to read this....

I try not to rant on Facebook......the people on my Facebook newsfeed that do usually get on my nerves. Sometimes, if they do it enough, I delete them....true story. I know I am ranted before on Facebook, I think everyone does. But do you ever have people on you Facebook that never have anything positive to say?? I usually have to hide those people, or even delete them because I don't want to hear that you are ALWAYS having a bad day. To be honest there is sometimes that I want to write "WHO CARES"! I am sorry that was kinda mean. I am sure there are some of you that want to write that same thing on mine. But this is my blog and although it does pop up on your newsfeed you do have to click to read it.....just saying.
I also cant stand how people can comment all day on your stuff on Facebook, but when they see you in person they act like they dont even know you.....it annoys me so much. I have actually had someone hide from me in a grocery store to keep from speaking to me. Like I wanted to talk to them soo badly. That was my rant. I had to get it out. My applogies. But like I said, you clicked!!

This week our news media has been focused on the death of Whitney Houston. People have said she was a crack head, and why are we celebrating someone who was a drug abuser?? Here is the deal.....She did abuse drugs?? Yes. Was she a great singer?? Yes. But I feel like people are being quite judgmental. I feel like we are forgetting that we all fall short, and that all sins are looked at as equal in the eyes of the Lord. And to be honest, any of us could have ended up in that situation. All is takes is hanging around the wrong crowd. Mix that with being in the music industry and it probably didn't take much.
None of us knows her heart or if she accepted Jesus in her heart. All I know is that she made music that touched alot of people and had a God given voice. And none of us has the right to judge. I am just as guilty sometimes but I try to remember to that they plank out of my eye before I get the speck out of my friends.
The dryer is calling my name.....quit literally it has buzzed twice. Not to mention the dog is moaning at me.....me must have to go potty....and that means I have to get up! Hope everyone has a nice, sort week!

Happy Valentines Day Haters

I love Valentines Day. Eric and I started dating on Valentines Day in 2005....7 years ago. I can't believe it has been that long. I have to admit, Eric usually gives pretty good gifts, so I usually look forward to Valentines day.  I think last year will still did gifts. This year we decided to buy something practical for the house. We were going to get a storm door. Well, as all home owners know just when you save up the money for something, something else comes up. Well last week our water heater went out.....so guess what I got for Valentines day.......you guessed it.....a water heater!! But after the water heater broke the first time on Christmas eve and I had to go to work and take a cold shower, I would give up getting any present for a hot shower. Take a cold shower and you will surly agree with me.
What really annoys me about Valentines Day is all the haters. The "you should celebrate love all year round, not just one day" people. I refer to these people as Valentines day haters. Like a friend of mine put it, we have Veterans day, Labor Day, MLK day, Christmas Day, Easter, etc. All things that should be celebrated, and thought about all the time, but we still only think about them mostly on those specific days.....so why bash Valentines day and ruin it for the rest of us just because you don't have someone to buy you some over priced roses....just saying. I am sorry if that was mean, but it is really how I feel.

Our blender stopped working yesterday, and since Eric uses it everyday and I had some extra money this month i went out a bought him a new one. Eric tends to buy me the best without looking at the price. This time thats kinda what I did.

Some things that made me smile this week.
  • sweet friends and a sister that came to my comfort after being, what felt like, humiliated in front of my entire church. I know every one makes mistakes, and after singing for 8 years in school I know what it is like to be in front of an audience and make a mistake, or getting off stage knowing you didn't do so hot, but when its in front of an audience that you know, for some reason it makes it that much worse.
  • bringing my grocery bill down by $30 dollars with coupons.
  • having Eric come home after I had been cleaning for 3 hrs and commenting that the house was "sparkling"
  • I made something new last night that I got from Pintrest.... I didn't quite follow the directions. Any ways making it was a disaster....it didn't turn out the way it was supposed to. But more importantly it tasted good, and Eric ate the whole thing.
  • Ellie had to be put under to have a shave yesterday, besides it costing twice as much as they told me it would, Ellie came home not quite awake....so she was much more affectionate then she normally is.
  • Eric coming home Monday with an early Valentines present with some chocolate and roses from Ellie and Knox. So sweet.
  • Knox snoring while he sleeps
  •  A lady at the gym asking me what I am majoring in in college.....this one made me laugh. It was all I could to the not laugh in her face when I told her that I was in my second year of nursing practice. Glad I still look young enough to be in college though.
  • I saw this video on Ellen Georgio Loves Sonic! Enjoy!!
Hope everyone took sometime with the one they love yesterday, as well as everyday. I have learned in my short 23 years that you are never promised tomorrow, so live for today!
Happy Valentines Day to my Eric and to my parents, who were the first ones to love me!
